Why this Solution
When you’re setting a projection screen on-site, getting the frame built is only half the battle. Getting it to exactly the right height, while keeping everything level and secure, is where the AV Stumpfl SHIFT system really earns its place in a production kit.
The biggest advantage is simple: you can adjust the screen after it is already assembled.
That means your crew isn’t tearing a screen apart because the bottom edge needs to come up another six inches. With clearly marked height references and fine adjustment in one-inch increments, it becomes much easier to match sightlines, stage layouts, projector placement, scenic elements, or multiple screens across a room.
For rental and staging companies, that saves real time during load-in. It also reduces the amount of measuring, rebuilding, and trial-and-error involved when conditions on-site don’t exactly match the drawing.
We especially like SHIFT legs for environments where screen height may need to change from one setup to another. Corporate ballrooms, breakout rooms, general sessions, live events, and temporary installations rarely behave exactly the same from venue to venue. Having a screen support system that can adapt quickly gives your crew more flexibility without introducing more complexity.
The result is one of those upgrades that feels small until you’ve used it on a real show. Faster adjustment, fewer headaches, and one less reason to rebuild something you’ve already finished.
