Summary / Objective
The Account Manager will execute a sales strategy and maintain client relationships to increase rentals in the assigned west coast area. This role will require the initiative to contact existing and potential clients, identify needs, provide solutions, and follow through to close rental sales. This position will also be involved in developing strategic plans and managing project initiatives to ensure growth and that our brand remains “client satisfaction” and “high quality of service”.
Essential Functions
Rental Territory
- The west coast rental territory includes the following states:
- Arizona, California, Nevada, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.
- Alaska and Hawaii must be approved before travel.
- Note: Territories are subject to change.
- Some clients in the West Coast region are subject to an existing relationship with VP of Rentals/Sales. These clients are the exception to the above territory outline.
- Claim on existing relationships/clients will revert to the Account Manager to whom is assigned the appropriate territory if the client is non-active (no rentals in past 2 years).
- Territorial rentals will remain based on office location. Event location is not a factor when determining territories. Multiple staff can work with a larger organization and remain in their respective areas.
• Establish growth/new business to increase rentals for the west coast.
• Contact prospective clients to discover rental needs and establish a customer-supplier relationship.
• Calculate and quote prices for rentals based on client requirements and project specifications.
• Develop strong relationships with new and existing clients while offering top customer service.
• Establish and maintain a client contact list.
• Immediately conduct introductions to connect clients with appropriate sales team member when a request to quote rental gear is outside of the assigned territory or when a client is interested in purchasing new or used gear (include all relevant information), must not provide new or used sales quotes unless otherwise specified by management.
• Gain prior approval from management and the appropriate team member if special circumstance arises to cross territories or conduct new or used sales.
• Schedule, manage, and conduct shop visits for existing and potential clients (including new client development).
• Manage execution of marketing efforts on the west coast to include product demonstrations.
• Troubleshoot client issues and follow-up with clients to assure satisfaction.
• Provide logistics support assistance for projects during peak times if needed.
• Participate in departmental meetings and work closely with leadership as required.
• Conduct work activities in a manner that supports production, productivity, quality and customer service standards

Qualifications
• At least 5 years of experience in the live events video production industry
• At least 5-7 years of experience in sales or business development
• Knowledge of professional video and projection systems
• Problem solver

• Excellent sales and business development skills
• Great analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) in English

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Work week schedule is Monday through Friday and on call as needed.
